Heritage Museum

Heritage Museum at Ambalavayal houses one of the richest collections of historic artifacts in Wayanad. The museum is one of the best and most well maintained in Kerala, with exhibits that were sourced almost exclusively from Wayanad.

 

Tholpetty

Lying towards the north of the district of Wayanad, this region harbours a rich diversity of flora. Open to wildlife jeep safari twice a day, you are bound to spot various animals and bird species in their natural habitat during the 1.5-2 hour journey.

 

Pazhassi Raja Tomb

Built in memory of Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja. The tomb was constructed in the place where his body was cremated, and is situated in Mananthavady

Soochipara falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is situated in the Vellarimala of Wayanad. This waterfall is surrounded by evergreen forests and can be reached on foot after a short nature trek.

Meenmutty Waterfalls located close to the Banasura Sagar Dam is a charming picnic spot that can be reached with a short 1 km trek. The area is also ideal for a quick nature walk.
